Sales and Commissions
All the priced paintings in my website are for sale unless otherwise specified. Alternatively, we can work together in creating an original work of art for you. If you would like to commission an original painting, here are a few pointers to keep in mind:
Naturally, I need to know the size of painting you would like.
Framing is a very important part of your finished painting, and should be chosen to suit both the artwork and its intended surroundings. I can arrange appropriate framing, if required.
Whilst I am happy to receive commissions for any of the subjects included in my galleries, I do specialise in painting natural subjects; I particularly enjoy painting humans and wildlife, and have been commissioned to do many pet portraits. So, whether you want a portrait of a special someone, an unique image of your favourite wild animal, or a lasting tribute to a furry or feathered friend, I would love to hear from you. Combining several subjects in one portrait is possible, although this extra complexity naturally increases the completion time (and therefore, the price). However, you will know the exact price of your painting before any work is started.
I am happy to work from photographs of a subject, especially where the image is intended as a surprise gift or to commemorate a special event. Naturally, the quality of the final piece will be affected by the level of detail visible in any photos you can provide - the more, the better!
If you have a deadline in mind, please allow at least four weeks for completion of any sizeable work (Art Cards being an obvious exception). Naturally, this is subject to my current workload, the size and complexity of the piece, etc.; however, estimated schedules and/or deadlines can be agreed before work is started, if desired.
Once you have outlined your requirements, I will provide a no-obligations quote, taking factors such as the size and complexity of the work into consideration. This price will not include shipping and/or insurance. Work will commence on receipt of a 30% deposit, and on completion, a scan or photograph of the work will normally be provided by mail or email for your approval. Once the balance is paid in full (and any cheques have cleared, if applicable), your painting will be shipped immediately. I accept PayPal, money orders and UK personal cheques.
